The frame is constructed from a lightweight 6061 T6 Aluminium which is heat treated and finished with seamlessly smooth welds for optimal strength and a premium look that is normally reserved for top-tier carbon framesets. With builds starting from as little as 13kg, the looks, feel, and ride quality is almost indistinguishable from that of a non-electric endurance road bike.
A neat solution, each cable is routed internally, keeping everything neat and tidy, whilst protecting them from the elements. This preserves the bike's sleek lines and head-turning looks as well as enhancing the aerodynamic efficiency for free speed.
The lightweight MAHLE SmartBike Systems X35+ hub drive motor system provides 3 super-smooth levels of power assistance up to a maximum of 15mph, with near-zero drag in off mode. Ensuring your ride feels as natural as a modern high-end road bike.

The frame has a 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects. All other parts have the standard manufacturer's warranty.
An easy-to-use button situated on the top tube enables you to select the level of assistance that you require and displays the remaining battery capacity.
The top tube button has an LED surround that displays the remaining battery capacity at a glance using a simple colour code. White=75% or more, Green=50-75%, Orange=25-50%, Red=15-25%, Slow Red Flash=10-15% and rapid Red Flash=10% or less remaining. You can also keep track of battery life using the MAHLE SmartBike Systems companion app on a smartphone.
Yes, our e-bikes are pedal-assisted models which always require rider input.
There’s no need to worry, being a pedal-assisted model means that you are in full control at all times. When a power assist level is selected the motor simply provides a little extra boost while you pedal. It does not take over.
No, pedal-assisted electric bikes do not require you to hold a valid driver’s licence, pay any form of road tax or take out insurance. Though it is always good practice to have some form of insurance on all bikes.
Due to the challenges associated with the Covid pandemic, test rides are not currently available. We hope to be able to offer these soon. Alternatively, you can hire the e-bike from E-Venture Bikes in Keswick, the rental cost will then be deducted from your purchase should you decide to buy one of our e-bikes. We also hope to be able to reinstate the Ribble roadshows which travel around the UK offering people the opportunity to test ride our bikes. We will update the events page of our website and share the details via our social channels once we have any events confirmed.
To charge the Panasonic 36V/250Wh battery, you simply plug the bike into a convenient household power socket using the supplied charger and cable. An optional range extender can also be used to charge the main battery if a socket is not close at hand.
The electric components used on our e-bikes are IP54 rated. They can be used in inclement weather conditions and are protected against splashing, but not against full immersion or when subjected to pressurised water from a hose pipe or jet wash. When transporting the bike on the outside of a vehicle a waterproof cover should be used to ensure the protection of the electronic components from water damage during transportation.
The battery range of the Endurance AL e is dependent upon a number of factors including rider weight, route profile, tyre pressures and temperature. A rider of 90kg, on a varied route including climbs, descents and flats can expect an average range of up to 60 miles. An optional range extender is also available for all our e-bikes which increases the available range by 70%.
Yes, the battery can easily be removed through the bottom bracket shell by any MAHLE certified technician. The press fit bottom bracket must be removed to facilitate removal of the battery.
Like any battery, the capacity will start to degrade after approximately 500 charging cycles. Please take some time to read our battery care blog in which we outline the best practices to ensure that your e-bike battery continues to function at optimal efficiency throughout its lifespan.

The Endurance AL e takes a Press Fit BB86 style of bottom bracket.
The internal diameter of the seat tube is 27.2mm.
The frame is compatible with flat mount disc brakes.
The front forks are fitted with a bolt thru-axle of dimensions 100/120/M12*P1.5 while the rear hub is a bolt-on design.
Due to the many different systems people use we do not supply pedals with bikes but you can find a great selection of pedals here.
Next put bike on turbo trainer to get used to switching power assist on and going through the motions.
Set up lights and added a Bell. Everything checked and really pleased with my purchase and ready for a spin.
Set off at a steady pace,going through the gears and testing the brakes. Perfect everything worked as discribed in Ribble advertising.
Twenty mile ride with some biggish climb back home. When I needed assistance from that rear motor it was there and totally uncomplicated. Used about half the battery,so plenty left.

Cycled all my life,I'm 70 and at 61 got cancer which kept me in hospital for 12months. Off the bike for 18 months and to be honest found hills hurt. Riding was gating risky due to lack of power.
